Job Description

For our Innovation Group we are looking for a recent PhD graduate with a strong focus on Organic Synthesis who is a highly motivated, proactive and customer focused personality in the function of:

R&D Chemist (f/m)


  • Lead R&D projects covering new products for Textile, Paper and Emulsion
  • Lead technology development in own area
  • Formulation of new product compositions
  • Synthesis of new, innovative active substances
  • Optimization of existing products and processes
  • Generation of new product ideas together with business development colleagues
  • Provide support to application labs and manufacturing units
  • Ensure safety policies are adhered to for a safe working environment
  • Manage and grow a team of Lab Technicians


The ideal candidate fulfils the following criteria:

  • PhD in Organic Chemistry or equivalent title
  • Minimum 3 years experience in R&D labs
  • Experience in project management
  • Excellent communication, team-building and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative, self-starting and entrepreneurial mind-set
  • Creative and open minded to new ideas and technologies
  • Fluent in German and English

Candidates must be Swiss/EU Nationals or hold a valid working permit.
