Position Summary:
The Sales representative position will be responsible for generating and maintaining sales of Archroma’s Textile chemicals and dyes product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and service existing business within territory with special emphasis on identifying new business opportunities at existing accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relations through personal visits and other means.
- Timely response to questions and concerns from customers and colleagues.
- Development and grow new business within the territory, with a dedicated focus on key projects of strategic importance.
- Support key pricing initiatives, inventory optimization, and account receivables management.
- Ensure forecasts for account base is reviewed and communicated frequently to maximize forecast accuracy.
- Keeps management informed by entering visit reports and active project updates into the CRM system. Submits monthly reports on sales territory analyses.
- Resolves customer complaints by utilizing the QNS process and coordinating closely with customer service, developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
- Contributes to team goals by meeting local KPI’s defined by BU Head.
- Keep abreast of competitive products, applications, market conditions, and competitive activities.
- Interface with support groups (customer service, credit, etc) to ensure a solid face to the customer.
- Occasional participation in trade shows and industry events.

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Textile Chemistry is preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in sales and account management, with exposure to marketing and planning; chemical industry required.
- Experience in the area of textile chemical applications and customer base is preferred.
- Creativity for customer and internal solutions, followed by prompt action to execute.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a matrix organization.
- Strong sense of technical application and understanding of chemistry.
- Strong skills in the management of action plans.
- A pragmatic entrepreneur, able to build and maintain relationships on different levels, both internally and externally.
- Decisive and logical at thoroughly evaluating issues; Excellent planning, execution and project-management skills.
- Computer literate, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Travel up to 75%+ domestic.
