About the Job

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Finance Egypt. We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

To be successful as a Senior Accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of International Finance Reporting Standers (IFRS) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding Excel skill be detail-oriented, highly organized.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete day-to-day recording of transactions in compliance with IFRS, tax law and country-specific regulations by Posting daily operational transactions, including 3 way matching of vendor invoices.
  • Ensure monthly closing is accurate and done on time, All relevant monthly invoices, accruals and payments be posted on time.
  • Maintain quality accounting records and available supporting documents to be provided on a timely basis, by internal auditors, external auditors and other stakeholders, as required.
  • Monitor, analyses, and clearance of AP/GL accounts and Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
  • Assisting with annual audit preparations.
  • Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required + CPA a plus.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and IFRS.
  • SAP knowledge is preferred FI & CO.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and stress management skills.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision.
  • Strong English proficiency
