As part of Archroma's ongoing commitment to creating a more sustainable future, Archroma India inaugurated the renovated Sustainable Chemistry Laboratory and Centre of Excellence at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda on 25 May 2026.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by leaders from Archroma and academia, including Mr. Anjani Prasad - Managing Director and Vice President, Archroma Textile Effects, Dr. Bharat Patel - Head of the Department of Chemistry, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Prof. (Dr.) Dhanesh Patel - Â Dean of the Faculty, Ms. Sadhana Kanekar - CSR Manager, Archroma, and Mr. Atul Ashtekar - Manufacturing Director, Archroma.
The newly renovated Sustainable Chemistry Laboratory and Centre of Excellence represent a shared vision to inspire innovation, foster environmental responsibility, and equip the next generation of scientists and industry leaders with the skills needed to address tomorrow’s sustainability challenges.
Designed to support advanced research and hands-on learning, the facility provides students and researchers with access to modern infrastructure focused on sustainable chemistry and textile applications. Areas of exploration will include eco-friendlier chemical processes, sustainable materials, waste reduction strategies, and green technologies that align with evolving global environmental standards.
The Centre of Excellence will serve as a hub for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation. By bringing together academic expertise and industry experience, it will help cultivate future-ready talent while accelerating the development of sustainable solutions that can create lasting value for society and the environment.
This initiative reflects the powerful impact that can be achieved when industry and academia work together with a common purpose. Through investments in education, research, and sustainability, Archroma continues to support the development of responsible innovation and contribute to a more sustainable future for generations to come.
