Optical brightening agents for cellulosic fibers

Our innovative UVITEX® range of optical brightening agents allows you to achieve the best white shade for your processing conditions, specific cellulosic fiber and desired aesthetic effect, as well as your target environmental profile.

The UVITEX® whitening agents are stilbenic optical brighteners. They enhance the whiteness and brightness of textiles by absorbing ultraviolet light and re-emitting it as visible blue light. With solutions for different fiber types and application processes, we offer a complete range of neutral and shaded whiteners and the ability to create local shaded versions and tailor-made white. Our UVITEX® agents are cost-effective and help correct yellowing.

The revolutionary UVITEX® BHA is an aniline-free high-affinity brightener that helps mills achieve very high, brilliant full-white effects on cellulosic fibers. With the highest acid stability and acid fastness in the UVITEX® range, it reduces the risk of discoloration when other finishing effects are applied and protects against phenolic yellowing during storage and shipment. It also delivers the lowest possible wastewater pollution due to its very high exhaustion rate.

All of the UVITEX® brighteners are compliant with ZDHC—providing they are used as recommended.
