ZELAN™

Highly durable water repellent finish that’s partially renewably sourced

One of the best known non-PFAS water-repellent technologies, ZELAN™ R3 effectively protects against rain and water-based stains. Long-lasting and partially made with plant-based materials, it is ideal for high-performance outdoor and outerwear fabrics.

* PFAS (perfluorochemicals) below limits of detection according to industry standard test methods.

Designed to perform well on a variety of fabrics, including cotton, synthetics and blends, ZELAN™ R3 offers excellent repellency and outstanding durability. It protects against water, fruit juice, hot coffee, red wine and other liquids for at least 30 washes#—and maintains fabric breathability for lasting comfort.

ZELAN™ R3 was introduced in collaboration with The Chemours Company in 2015. It contains 63% renewably sourced content**. This content is derived from a variety of plant-based sources, selected to be from non-GMO and non-food-source feedstock. ZELAN™ R3 is bluesign® approved, GOTS approved , and is published on the ZDHC Gateway with Conformance Level 3.

With good runnability, ZELAN™ R3 is engineered for uninterrupted processing. It is compatible with commonly used finishing auxiliaries, including wetting agents and extenders.
