Global Marketing Director -PP&C

Reports to: VP Marketing, Innovation & Sustainability- PP&C

Location: Charlotte, NC

Position Summary:

The Global Marketing Director-PP&C, will work directly with the VP Marketing, Innovation & Sustainability. S/he will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive profitable growth, brand recognition, and purposeful expansion of market share within the paper, packaging and construction markets. The Global Marketing Director will work across all regions and functions to develop and execute annual marketing plan that balances corporate and regional needs and aligns with company strategy.

The ideal candidate is a proven Marketing leader that will deliver, inform and enable segment-specific growth strategies through market analysis, segmentation, commercialization, and customer-facing marketing activities. S/he can maintain a balance between proactive ideation and efficient, high-quality execution. The most successful candidate will have experience across multiple marketing disciplines and demonstrable results in collaborating across teams. The right candidate will be willing to roll up their sleeves and do what is necessary to meet deliverables and will be a mix of strategic and tactical marketer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and optimize marketing department capabilities to transform into a demand generation engine contributing to pipeline growth and revenue capture.
  • Determine research needs to inform decision-making in market positioning and go-to market plans.
  • Partner with global PP&C management team in marketing, innovation, sustainability as well as regional leadership and corporate ESG Council to develop annual marketing plan and calendar aligned with Archroma growth strategy, incorporating new product launches and key sustainability messaging.
  • Working with VP Marketing, Innovation & Sustainability, develop thought leadership strategy that establishes Archroma as a credible leader in our industry.
  • Lead the development of compelling internal and external content, including sales enablement, product positioning and value proposition, and external marketing campaign content that resonates with target audiences. Develop content maps aligned with buyer journey stages and identify content gaps to be filled.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years marketing experience with at least 5 years leading marketing teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline, MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in marketing and sales, preferably within the chemicals or packaging industry.
  • Experience optimizing marketing department processes and function. Someone who knows what good looks like and can bring that experience to elevate our marketing maturity and tools for improved results.
  • Experience launching new products and driving demand for such via integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Proven ability to create strongly differentiated product and solutions positioning and messaging and deploying such to target/prospective customers.
  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation skills, and writing proficiency are mandatory, with a knack for presenting complex concepts in a simple and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Experience establishing marketing KPIs and analyzing performance against target.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and passionate about winning.
  • Willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do the work required for success.
  • Demonstrated ability to earn the trust and confidence of customers, peers, partners, and employees and represent the Company with professionalism, integrity, and quality.
  • Ability to provide leadership to the marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Travel 35-40%

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of paper or packaging value chain.
  • Broad marketing experience spanning marketing strategy, product marketing, branding, digital marketing sales enablement and demand generation.
  • Strong business & financial acumen.
