We are delighted to share that our team in Baroda has clinched the Gold Award for Quality Circle. The competition is organized by Quality Circle Forum of India, India's renown body for driving Business Excellence initiatives.

The competition drew 54 teams from esteemed industries, all showcasing their capabilities in implementing quality concepts like Quality Circles, Six Sigma Projects, TPM Circles, SMED, and Poka-Yoke.

What made Archroma stand out was the debottlenecking project, implemented at our Baroda site's chemical unit. The team, through a systematic approach, identified and removed bottlenecks in our chemical manufacturing process to help address the high demand for the product whilst still driving process and production efficiency.

With a systematic Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach, we made remarkable improvements to the process. This included enhancing the flexibility between reactors, quick changeovers, increasing batch sizes, reducing batch cycle times, minimizing stoppages, and even optimizing our drum filling process without any change in the drum. The result was an increase in production capacity of over 16%.

Kudos to the team who came together to brainstorm for an effective solution to resolve the challenge faced while also improving overall production efficiency of the process.

This Gold Award in the Quality Circle category is a first for us in the Quality Circle Forum of India competition. We're proud of our team's commitment to quality and their innovative solutions. Congratulations and well done!
