Cartaseal® OGB F10: Superior and sustainable oil & grease resistance

Cartaseal® OGB F10 is a superior, PFAS-free, water-based oil and grease resistant barrier coating that enables papermakers to provide high-quality and sustainable packaging. This coating replaces fluoro-based substances and polyethylene with a recyclable and repulpable coating. It is FDA and BfR compliant, making it suitable for the manufacturing of paper and board for food and non-food contact.

Critically, in the paper and board space, Cartaseal® OGB F10 maintains performance of the substrate when folding or creasing – making it the ideal solution for folding box applications. This coating ensures the integrity and freshness of packaged goods and its advanced formulation guarantees maximum resistance – providing peace of mind for both manufacturers and converters.

Cartaseal® OGB F10 contains bio-based raw materials and supports brands and papermakers on their journey towards sustainability by minimizing reliance on fossil-based materials.

Cartaseal® SCR: Heat-sealable with water & moderate grease resistance

Cartaseal® SCR is a water-based heat-sealable barrier coating designed for food packaging applications requiring excellent water resistance and moderate grease resistance. It is particularly suited to drinking cups and molded fiber packaging), where maintaining structural integrity against moisture and grease is essential.

Importantly, Cartaseal® SCR is compliant with strict FDA and BfR food contact regulations.

Cartaseal® VWAF: Water, grease & moisture resistance – replacing wax & polyethylene

Cartaseal® VWAF is a fluorine-free, water-based barrier coating designed as an eco-friendly replacement for paraffin waxes, fluorochemicals, and polyethylene in paper and board packaging applications – maintaining strong water, grease, and moisture resistance.

Developed with food packaging in mind, Cartaseal® VWAF is compliant with FDA and BfR food contact regulations. It is also compliant with eco-labels such as EU Flower, Nordic Swan and several annexes of Blue Angel, and is REACH registered.

By enabling easier recycling and composting, Cartaseal® VWAF aligns with a growing demand for sustainable food and consumer goods packaging​.
