Water-based wood enamels

Enamel paint gives wood a glossy and durable finish which protects wooden furniture, windows, doors and other wooden objects from wear and tear.

Many wood paints and enamels are based on solvents to maximize the gloss effect. These solvents can have hazardous consequences to the health of the painter and have a strong unpleasant smell. Especially indoors this unpleasant smell that can linger for days and even weeks. Painters who use solvent-based paint on a regular basis have a higher risk of memory loss, nerve damage and cancer.

Our Mowilith® LDM 6990 is water-based and therefore better for the environment. In addition it outperforms conventional solvent-based enamels and varnishes based on alkyd resins. Its high durability ensures a longer lasting and stronger gloss performance while providing a longer lifetime to wooden objects. Due to it being water-based, the health risks associated to solvents are avoided with the pleasant side effect of little to no smell during the drying process.
