Silicone-based shade deepener for dark shades, delivering comfort and fastness

DICRYLAN® SD is a technological breakthrough that allows you to achieve ultra-deep shade enhancement on all fibers without any compromise on fastness. It helps you reach previously unattainable dark shades while enhancing brilliancy, luster and surface softness—and reducing dyestuff consumption.

DICRYLAN® SD delivers color depth in black, navy and dark shades that cannot be realized by dyeing alone. It is suitable for all fibers, including cotton, polyester, polyamide and wool, and blends with elastane.

The unique properties of DICRYLAN® SD achieve super-black effects with no need for sulfur over-dyeing—avoiding issues with metamorism and maintaining color fastness and wash durability. Fabrics treated with DICRYLAN® SD have a rich, silky handle and enhanced brilliancy and luster. Application is simple, by pad or dip, and sewability is improved. Higher color yield delivers reduced coloristic costs.

DICRYLAN® SD is a silicone-based functional polymer. It increases the depth of shade on dark shades through light absorption and light polarization. When light hits the DICRYLAN® SD polymer, it scatters in all directions; with less light reflected back to the observer, the shade appears deeper. Uniquely with DICRYLAN® SD, this absorption effect is further enhanced by light polarization resulting from the precise orientation of the polymer structure.

Combining DICRYLAN® SD with the AVITERA® SE reactive dyes delivers significant water and energy savings alongside top fastness and color retention. The solution also has outstanding reproducibility and leveling properties, with the potential to increase production output.
