LANASOL®

Our state-of-the-art metal-free LANASOL® dyes offer a consistent, safe and reliable alternative to chrome dyes for coloring wool fabrics. The range outperforms after-chrome dyes across the board—at every level of dyeing and processing—and provides a broad spectrum of shades to deliver high-value, sustainable products.

Producing black, navy and dark shades on wool traditionally required chrome dyes with an after-treatment of chromium VI to ensure fastness. Metal-free LANASOL® delivers optimum fastness with no chrome in the wastewater to take care of. This helps you meet the requirements of ZDHC Gateway of major brands, while also lowering wastewater treatment costs.

Wool is ideal for high-value products like luxury fashion, high-performance activewear and carpets. But it is also relatively expensive, and wool fibers are easily damaged during processing. The LANASOL® dyes are specially formulated to protect the natural beauty of wool. By minimizing fiber damage, they facilitate efficient combing and spinning, with less wool wastage for enhanced yield and finer fabric. 

The leading dye brand in the wool industry since it was introduced in 1997, well in advance of chromium VI restrictions, LANASOL® has rendered chrome dyes obsolete. These innovative dyes not only deliver optimal fastness and wool quality but also achieve water, energy and time savings.* The range provides the broadest spectrum of shades, from deep/dull navy and black shades to bright and vibrant colors.

*LANASOL® CE reduced the woolen fabric production process by two washes, achieving water and energy savings and less wastewater treatment costs, for a mill in China previously using traditional after-chrome dyes, as demonstrated by Archroma’s ONE WAY Impact Calculator.
