Fatty-acid-based softener and sewability improvers

Archroma’s LEOMIN® range of spin finishes is specially formulated to optimize textile processing. It includes an antistatic lubricant that imparts a silky smooth handfeel and a cohesion agent to enhance yarn uniformity and improve sewability.

Manufactured to ensure excellent quality and consistency, our spin finish products provide optimal distribution on various yarn surfaces. This is vital since only a very small amount of product (equivalent to less than 1% of the weight of the fiber or filament to be treated) is generally applied. The LEOMIN® range also provides excellent thermal stability and is non-yellowing and anti-corrosive.

Different types of fibers require tailored spin finish blends to ensure efficient processing. The LEOMIN® PN lubricant has outstanding antistatic properties and gives fibers a smooth, soft handle. LEOMIN® OR is a cohesion agent that ensures fibers stay together during processing, helping improve quality and production efficiency.

Products in the LEOMIN® range are partially based on renewable materials and highly biodegradable. For example, approximately 72% of the active material in LEOMIN® PN pa. is from a renewable source*, with overall biodegradability of more than 80%# (applied on staple fibers).
