Archroma India supports public health initiative in Roha

Supporting the communities around us is an important part of how we operate. In line with our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, Archroma India partnered with the Roha Gram Panchayat in Maharashtra to strengthen local sanitation efforts by providing a Ghanta Gadi (garbage collection vehicle).

The Ghanta Gadi will enable daily door-to-door waste collection across the village, helping to ensure that household waste is collected regularly and managed more efficiently. Designed to collect wet and dry waste separately, the vehicle also supports better waste segregation practices among residents, which is an essential step toward more sustainable waste management.

By improving the village’s waste collection system, this initiative will help reduce open dumping, encourage responsible disposal habits, and maintain cleaner surroundings. In addition to enhancing the overall cleanliness of Roha, the effort is expected to contribute to better hygiene and public health for the community.

This initiative also aligns with the Government of India’s Swachh Bharat Mission, which promotes nationwide efforts toward cleanliness, sanitation, and sustainable waste management.
