Peroxide stabilizers for different process conditions
Our PRESTOGEN® range of peroxide stabilizers help maintain the stability of hydrogen peroxide to prevent its premature decomposition and ensure uniform whitening while protecting fiber strength and integrity. These products effectively replace sodium silicate, which can impart a harsh handle and contaminate machine parts.
PRESTOGEN® is an organic stabilizer for silicate-free, alkaline hydrogen peroxide bleaching. It entirely replaces sodium silicate, with an equal bleaching action. It forms complexes with heavy metal ions, preventing catalytic damage. PRESTOGEN® is highly compatible with detergents and wetting, reducing and oxidizing agents.
Biodegradable PRESTOGEN® FCB is used for cellulosic fibers and blends, achieving a high degree of whitening, even at low amounts. It is non-foaming and can be applied in continuous, discontinuous and cold pad batch processes. PRESTOGEN® SIFA is suitable for use on all types of fibers and blends, improving fabric absorbency and handle. Whiteness can be increased by adding more product. It is stable to alkali, with minimal foaming, and applied in continuous and discontinuous processes.
The PRESTOGEN® range is compliant with ZDHC and suitable for producing bluesign® APPROVED products—providing the products are used as recommended.
