SILIGEN®

Silicone softeners for excellent moisture management, with partially bio-based options

Archroma’s SILIGEN® silicon softeners deliver a super-soft and voluminous handle to cellulosic fibers, wool and their blends with synthetics. These hydrophilic formulations also improve fabric resilience and sewability, with a vegan option partially based on renewable raw materials.

The SILIGEN® softeners are ideal for shirts, underwear, sportswear, towels, bed sheets and more, as they offer good moisture transportation and deliver a smooth, soft and voluminous handle. They also improve tear strength and abrasion resistance. Non-yellowing, they can be used on white articles and fabrics treated with optical brighteners.

Biomass-based SILIGEN® EH1 offers exceptional softness and moisture management while supporting brands and mills to move away from dependence on petroleum fossil fuel products. More than 35% of its active content is based on plant-based, renewable raw materials.

Partially bio-based SILIGEN® EH1 also features ultralow cyclic siloxanes (D4, D5, D6)*, which are classified by the European Chemicals Agency as “Substances of Very High Concern”
